In <strong>1923<\/strong> Sarah Elizabeth died (age 79) \u2013 both in Faversham.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>George and Sarah had 9 children:<\/p>\n<p><strong>(1) William <\/strong>(1867-) The 1939 register shows William was a jobbing gardener (retired).<\/p>\n<p><strong>(2) George<\/strong> (1868-1938) George was a labourer. In 1895 he married Ada Grant. They had two daughters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(3) Albert John<\/strong> (1870-1959) In 1895 Albert married Elizabeth Hills and they had 6 daughters and one son. Albert was a cabinet maker and upholsterer. They lived in Whitstable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(4) Sarah Elizabeth<\/strong> (1872-1944) Sarah Elizabeth, was my great-grandmother, she married Edward Thomas Fogg &#8211; jump here for her life story.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(5) Walter Stephen<\/strong> (1874-1958) In 1897 Walter married Clara Jane Doughty and they had two daughters. The 1939 Register shows he was a retired baker.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-832 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/janehart.com\/jackkirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/ef680311-ff53-4341-80b5-9b6c74f836dc-e1647006184774-211x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"198\" height=\"282\" srcset=\"http:\/\/janehart.com\/jackkirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/ef680311-ff53-4341-80b5-9b6c74f836dc-e1647006184774-211x300.jpg 211w, http:\/\/janehart.com\/jackkirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/ef680311-ff53-4341-80b5-9b6c74f836dc-e1647006184774.jpg 547w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 198px) 100vw, 198px\" \/>(6) Agnes<\/strong> (1877-1960) In Agnes married Charles Albert Coe, and they had five children. Charles was killed in action in 1918 in Flanders (age 36). He was in the 10<sup>th<\/sup> battalion of the Queens Own (Royal West Kent) regiment. He is buried in the Commonwealth War Graves, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cwgc.org\/visit-us\/find-cemeteries-memorials\/cemetery-details\/2102007\/hagle-dump-cemetery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hagle Dump cemetery<\/a>, near Ypres in Belgium. (Charles is pictured on the right.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>(7) Rose Jane<\/strong> (1879-1954) In 1912 Rose married Charles King Gibbons, and they had 4 children. In the1939 register Charles was recorded as railway engine driver.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(8) Frederick<\/strong> <strong>Francis John<\/strong> (1883-1938) Frederick was a journeyman. In 1910 he married Isabel Saunders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(9) Alice Kate<\/strong> (1888-1953) In 1913 Alice married Arthur Hughes. They had one daughter. Arthur had been born in the Chatham Workhouse in 1885. He died in the explosion on the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/HMS_Princess_Irene\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HMS Princess Irene<\/a> in the Medway Estuary on 27 Mary 1915. Alice didn\u2019t remarry and in the 1939 Register she is shown (age 51) as a retired domestic servant in the David Salomon\u2019s House, Broomhill Road, Southborough, Kent.
